Certification of New Constitutional Text [1996] ZAConAsmRes 30 (28 May 1996)

My family and I are opposed to abortion on demand. There is no price on human life. Human life is sacred in a mother’s womb and no one has the right to go and murder an innocent human life. Abortion is not the way to ensure population control or to deal with what are euphemistically called unwanted pregnancies. It is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being and only God can determine when that life begins and when it ends. Life begins at conception in a mother’s womb. This violence against the peacefully loving little human beings and the most innocent human life and most defenceless of our society. If there is violence in the mother’s womb how can there be peace in the world. Unborn babies must get the right to live and not hardened criminals who murder innocent people. Let the unborn babies live.
