This database contains many of the materials generated in South Africa's two-phase constitution-making process. The materials from 1993 and early 1994 include minutes of meetings of the technical committees that were appointed to draft the interim Constitution (Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Act 200 of 1993). The materials from May 1994 - June 1996 contain materials generated by the Constitutional Asssembly which was established in terms of the interim Constitution to draft the final 1996 Constitution.
