Please consider the following points,
some of which have often been stated, when discussing the new
constitution.
- Entrench
the rights of individuals without regard to tribe / race / sex / sexual
preference / age /
religion / physical fitness or disability / marital status / language
preference. In short all
persons are equal before the
law.
- . The
rights of individuals to associate freely into groups. However no mention or
provision should be made to accommodate groups
as such. We are after all a
homogeneous S.A. Look after the rights of individuals and the rights of groups
will be protected.
- . Prohibit
any act or regulation by central / provincial or local government which can
result in enrichment / impoverishment / empowerment
/ loss of power, benefit /
loss of benefit of any individual / group of individuals.
- Entrench
the right of any individual / body corporate or other person to acquire / own /
dispose of property without hinderance.
This should not prevent properly
regulated expropriation for the common good in which case Market related
compensation will be paid.
- Entrench
the rights of individuals to criticise the Government of the day and its members
or servants subject always to the normal
rules of defamation /
slander.
