Please consider the following points, some of which have often been stated, when discussing the new constitution.

  1. Entrench the rights of individuals without regard to tribe / race / sex / sexual preference / age / religion / physical fitness or disability / marital status / language preference. In short all persons are equal before the law.


  1. . The rights of individuals to associate freely into groups. However no mention or provision should be made to accommodate groups as such. We are after all a homogeneous S.A. Look after the rights of individuals and the rights of groups will be protected.


  1. . Prohibit any act or regulation by central / provincial or local government which can result in enrichment / impoverishment / empowerment / loss of power, benefit / loss of benefit of any individual / group of individuals.


  1. Entrench the right of any individual / body corporate or other person to acquire / own / dispose of property without hinderance. This should not prevent properly regulated expropriation for the common good in which case Market related compensation will be paid.


  1. Entrench the rights of individuals to criticise the Government of the day and its members or servants subject always to the normal rules of defamation / slander.
