As a citizen of the New South
Africa I object in the strongest possible terms to the legislation of
pornographic magazines. Not only
is this literature an infringement of Womens'
Rights, but it debases them into sex objects. I respect other peoples freedom
of expression,
as long as it does not violate my own family,s
freedom.
We (78% of RSA) Christians, have a right to bring up our
children in a morally upright environment and to protect family values which
are
undermined by this literature. The tendency towards immorality has contributed
to the disintegration of previous nations in
history. The time has come to
listen to the silent majority.
we urge you to re-introduce
standards of moral decency which will contribute to the fibre of family
building nation.
