Citizen Contribution: Anonymous [1995] ZAConAsmRes 564 (1 February 1995)

Dear Sirs, 0 1 FEB 1995
I do not think there is one single person who is not horrified with the escalation of all modes of Crime, and is desperately pleading for Criminals to be removed from o our society, now

I would suggest this is the major part of any new Constitutio@
as Crime has now become so rampant, at all levels, that nothing

short of draconian measures will halt its onward path increasing
until we have over 50% criminal activity.

I would remind you all Arithmetic is a pure science of numbers so I% increase in crime per year does not need a mathematician to calculate just how long it will take to go over the 50%. I submit we must REMOVE permanently all hard criminals Rapists Murderers, Drug pushers and make our homes our castles once again, with the death sentence for all armed intruders, anyone entering, a persons home against their will with intent to harm, Hang them

We have I;stened to past Governments, Religious bodies, and do-good never-do-wells for too long,as their remedies are not working, al',l crime has rocketed out of all reason, and what present day people of Authority are asking their Citizens and their Children to do, is ridiculous, and very unconstitutional, we have to stop now and turn and deal with our Criminals.

("I submit to you that @ Law abiding Citizens who live under Laws
L~n which place Criminals under abject fear of t lives, themselves
are able to live at peace and in harmony with no fear.

This is what needs...to be done, bring back discipline and Law back into the lives of your Citizens fail this and you will dissolve into obscurity faster than you will ever realise, restore this and you will deserve and get everlasting support.

A motor car can be and is a killer in the wrong hands, then make the people who do'wrong pay with very heavy fines, even if they have to pay these fines by selling their cars.

Make the Fraudster pay back the defrauded, even if they have to sell up everything they own, and make them accountable to their defrauded, and not get away with it every time by serving a goal sentence, and a bit of time in local correction.

Lets have some accountability once again, lesser Crimes are still Crimes and they should be punishable relativelxr-.

Lets make Government Ministers who enjoy fat salaries and perks fully accountable to public enquiry If they make wrong decisions, they are put there as Professionals, lets see to it they act like they are professionals. And this goes for Local Government,

Mistakes are forgivable, everyone makes a mist@,,ke, but direct fraudulent operating should carry maximum penalty, especially where there has been suffering.

I submit these for your consideration in all humility, and I will be watching whether we come out of it as Lions, or Mice.

Very Concerned,@very concerned.@
