OFFICIAL LANGUAGE/S

Presently, this country has numerous, more than one, official languages.

In Germany, Germans speak German, in France, the French speak French, in South Africa, the South Africans do not since we do not have a language called South African.

English, difficult a language as it is, is the universal language of trade/business. It is even the International Aviation language. At the end of the day, each and every person has some experience of or connection with business be it local or international. I do believe that the vast majority of persons dealing in or dealing with money must understand English even if they do not speak it.

Daily, we are told that there is a shortage of money for this that, the next thing, most, of these being urgent necessities. If that in fact is so, and I do not have a reason to doubt it, then, in due humility, I submit that the enormous amount of money wasted on publishing documents etc, in 11 languages or what the number they do publish these things in, that you use English as your Official Language and anybody who wishes to speak or to deal in or to read a different language can apply to do so, or speak it without application.

I submit humbly, that the time has come, to throw overboard, emotion and such other nonsensical concepts and to get down to reality and to appreciate the fact that with scarce resources and, there are many of those in this country, one has to be reasonably down to earth and intelligent.
