Where Must Parliament Be Seated? [1995] ZAConAsmRes 1515 (29 May 1995)

29May 1995

WHERE MUST PARLIAMENT BE SEATED?

We are replying as a group, Afrikaner Friends, to the above question as published in The
Volksblad:

We are convinced that Parliament must stay in Cape Town.

The costs to transfer it shall be too high and for the present this money is definitely needed to assist the RDP programme of the Government.

To have different operations of the Government in different parts of the country is also bringing the Government closer to the citizens of the country.

Many thanks that we may provide an input.
