OFFICIAL LANGUAGES

Everybody is entitled to have his or her own home - language as one of the official languages in at least his or her own official section of our nation.

However, for the whole nation, with its traditions of leadership and national unity, it would be an insult if we did not continue with respect to both English and Afrikaans.

These two main languages have been at the root of our educational and political development over the years. They still carry the respect of all educated people in the leadership of our nation.

To downgrade either of them would be an insult that will break down any thought of future national unity in the new RSA.
