I want to thank you for
giving us the opportunity for input to the new constitution through your
advertisement in the Sunday Times
of 9 April 1995.
I would like to grab
hold of this opportunity in giving some input regarding Freedom of
Religion:
I, as a Christian, want to request that the new constitution
give us the freedom to serve the living God as He is revealed through
the Bible.
We believe that God has commanded us not to worship any other gods but Himself
and we request that the new constitution
allow us to be obedient to His command.
Furthermore we request that we will have the freedom to teach our children, both
publicly
and privately, to love and obey God and to love their fellow
man.
I would appreciate it if you would consider this whole matter very
carefully and seriously. Thanks again in giving the public the
opportunity for
letting our voice be heard.
