the President has assented to the following Act which is hereby
published for general information:-

ACT

- To amend the Credit
Agreements Act, 1980, so as to make provision for the assignment of
certain powers and duties to a competent
authority within the
jurisdiction of the government of a province; and to provide for
matters connected therewith.

- BE IT ENACTED by the
Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:- Insertion
of section 2A in Act 75 of 1980
-
1. The following section is
hereby inserted in the Credit Agreements Act,
-
1980, after section 2:
-
- "Assignment of
powers and duties by Minister
-
- <<2A. The Minister
may by notice in the Gazette assign any power conferred and any
duty imposed upon the Director-General:
Trade and Industry by or
under this Act to a competent authority within the jurisdiction of
the government of a province.>>".

- Short title
-
- 2. This Act shall be
called the Credit Agreements Amendment Act, 1995.
