LEGAL PRACTITIONERS ACT, 1995: DEGREES OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS IN LAW FROM COMMON LAW COUNTRIES PRESCRIBED FOR LEGAL PRACTITIONERS

Under section 5(4)(a) of the Leg'al Practitioners Act, 1995 (Act 15 of 1995), and on the recommendation of the Board for Legal Education, I hereby prescribe the degrees or equivalent qualifications in law from universities or other comparable educational institutions in foreign countries of which the legal system is based on common law, which shall be accepted as sufficient qualifications for the purposes of section 5(1)(a) of that Act. dR.
