ELECTORAL ACT, 1992: NOTIFICATION OF RESULT OF THE BY-ELECTION OF THE GOBABIS CONSTITUENCY, OF THE OMAHEKE REGION In terms of section 92( 1) of the Electoral Act, 1992 (Act No. 24 of 1992), the following particulars in respect of the result of the by-election for the Gobabis Constituency held on 14 June 2000 are hereby published in the Schedule hereto, as follows (a) in Column 1 of the said Schedule, the total number of votes counted in the constituency with the total number of rejected ballot papers shown in the brackets;

(b)

in Column 2 of the said Schedulc, the name of each candidate with an indication opposite his or her name of the political party by whom he or she was nominated and of which the candidate whose name is underlined has been declared duly elected as a member of the regional council for the Omaheke Region with effect from 15 June 2000 and;
in Column 3 of the said Schedule, the number of votes recorded for each candidate.
